Platecil improves symptoms associated with specific blood flow problems in the legs, such as peripheral arterial disease and intermittent claudication, by decreasing muscle pain and cramps during exercise or walking, thereby enhancing walking distance; it also increases blood flow and the amount of oxygen delivered to the muscles.
Formulation
Each tablet contains:

Indications
Used in the management of peripheral vascular disease.
Dosage & Administration
The usual dose of Cilostazol for the reduction of symptoms of intermittent claudication is 100 mg orally twice daily at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after meal: doses should be reduced in patients taking enzyme inhibitors. Response to treatment may occur in 2 to 4 weeks, but up to 12 weeks may be required. Cilostazol is under investigation for its antiplatelet effect following coronary stent implantation.
